Why is this initiative necessary?

We must stop the split in society and get out of the post-war situation with dignity! There should not be a division on our way because of the "blacks" and "whites", the "old" and those in power. Let's forget about the populism of people who cannot adequately meet the challenges that the nation is facing. The Armenia 2021 Initiative should identify those who, with their knowledge and experience, can make a major contribution to the country's recovery from the crisis.

Armenian 2021 goals

1. To identify professionals by selection and national voting who can apply their experience and knowledge to get the country out of the crisis.
2. The candidates, seeing the nation involvment in the initiative, have to take responsibility and apply their knowledge to help their Homeland at the most difficult times in history.
3. To unite the nation represented by the Diaspora and the citizens of Armenia for building a strong and independent Homeland.

Does the initiative represent a political party?

The organizers do not belong to any party or movement and do not pursue the interests of the «old» or «new» authorities.

The site has already published 50 candidates who represent:

different political forces or who are outside politics;
professionals from both Armenia and the Diaspora;
numerous countries of the world;
different fields of activity.

It is important to note that the website gave the public the opportunity to nominate their candidates for the second group of elections, subject to the objectives of the Initiative and the selection criteria (read about the criteria below.)

What are the selection criteria for candidates?

The selection of candidates is based on the following principles:
1. Professionalism, management experience in public or private sector;
2. There are no incriminating facts in the biographies of candidates that can negatively affect public perception, as well as create risks for the state system;
3. Armenian nationality or/and Armenian citizenship (edited 12/7/2020);
4. The personality of the candidate should not lead to a split in society.

May I suggest a candidate?

Yes, you were able to offer your candidate for consideration until December 20, 2020 by filling out the form on the website (armenia2021.com/suggest) with detailed information about him/her. If the form was fully completed and if the offered specialist met the selection criteria, the candidate was considered for publication in the second group of elections.

When will the voting take place?

The first group of candidates
From Dec 7 to Dec 27, 2020 - voting for the candidates proposed by initiative organizers.

The second group of candidates
Dec 20, 2020 - the last day for accepting suggested candidates through the website

From Jan 4 to Jan 17, 2021 - voting for the candidates, suggested trough the website

Who will be the winner?

There will not be one winner, there will be a public platform of professionals where everyone will have a high level of competence and will be ready to personally take part in building the future of Armenia
